The Township follows the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). The purpose of MFIPPA is to make sure that the public has the right to information about the government and themselves or their property if that information is kept by the Township. It also ensures that private information about a person or property that should stay private is kept private.

The Township routinely collects information for various reasons but only uses it for specific purposes.
