The municipality is proud to offer its’ residents bi-weekly, curbside recycling collection every other Friday and a depot system located at the Landfill. Residents are encouraged to divert waste from the landfill by recycling all acceptable items.

Acceptable Recyclable materials include:

• Cardboard (flatten/remove plastic)
• Newspaper, magazines, catalogues, books
• Household paper
• Plastic bottles, tubs, pails, trays and foam packaging
• Plastic bags
• Clear and coloured glass jars and bottles
• Milk and juice containers
• Egg cartons
• Aluminum and steel cans, foil, pie plates and trays
• Empty paint cans and aerosol cans (empty/dry and lids removed)
• Cardboard

acceptable plastics include No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7.

Materials NOT acceptable:

• Used paper plates
• Diapers
• Liquids
• Toys
• Facial and toilet tissue
• Food scraps
• Tires
• Propane Cylinders
• Lightbulbs
• Batteries
• Branches and grass trimmings
